Teonite is a Poland-based software studio focused on complex, mission-critical systems. They work across deeptech domains including blockchain, machine learning, satellite communications, and digital infrastructure. The studio combines software development with research and design, handling projects that sit at the intersection of cryptography, signal processing, and data engineering. Their output spans proof-of-concepts that become production systems, backend infrastructure scaling to millions of users, and open-source tools released for the space sector.
Services and capabilities
Teonite's core offerings cluster around systems engineering and applied research. They build in Rust for security-critical infrastructure—they received a Casper Grant Award to develop a smart contract source code verification service for the Casper blockchain, delivering a REST API, cryptographic validation microservices, and CLI enhancements across five milestones. They also work in Python for data science and machine learning: for T-Mobile Poland, they built a predictive modeling system using XGBoost to forecast retail location profitability, handling big data workflows in Hadoop, feature engineering, and interactive visualization in Jupyter Notebook and Google Maps.
Web development is offered in TypeScript, React, and Angular. UI/UX and branding services are available. They integrate LLM technologies (ChatGPT, Groq, Gemini) into business workflows. On the research side, they handle systems specification and design through structured discovery processes, and take on R&D projects that require exploration and risk management. They also released open-source projects: an SSO and VPN solution with WireGuard MFA/2FA and OpenID Connect, and SDR Mobile, a Kotlin Android app for decoding NOAA satellite data via software-defined radio.
Notable work
Casper blockchain smart contract verification. Teonite partnered with Casper Labs and others to implement source code validation for the Casper blockchain. The work involved five phases: feasibility research into WASM preprocessing, a distributed build system supporting multiple Rust compiler versions, a REST API with microservices for data storage and cryptographic validation, CLI enhancements for the casper-client tool, and a React web service for browsing validated contracts. The solution is now in deployment across test and production environments.
T-Mobile Poland predictive modeling. For one of Poland's largest mobile operators (over 10 million customers), teonite built a machine learning system to predict store location profitability. The project involved securing access to sensitive data via VPN and authorization layers, preparing and aggregating data from Hadoop, feature selection and correlation analysis, and testing multiple regression models before settling on XGBoost. Results were presented via interactive Jupyter Notebooks and maps. The team handled data quality challenges including anonymization requirements and feature engineering gaps.
UltraViolet digital rights platform. Working with castLabs, teonite contributed to rebuilding the UltraViolet Coordinator service—the backend powering a cloud-based digital rights locker operated by Sony Pictures, Universal Studios, Warner Bros, Fox, HBO, and BBC. The platform handles over 28 million users and 250 million titles across 13 countries. During December holidays, the service handled 1 million API calls per hour; on New Year's Eve, 1.7 million transactions per hour with no major incidents.
NOAA satellite decoding for ESA. Teonite partnered with Libre Space Foundation (funded by the European Space Agency) to build SDR Mobile, an open-source Android app that receives, decodes, and displays NOAA weather satellite data on mobile phones. The app, written in Kotlin, implements DSP components including FIR filters, FM and AM demodulators, and other signal processing from scratch, all released open-source.
How they work
Teonite structures projects around milestone-based delivery and collaborative workshops. For the Casper project, they ran five discrete milestones moving from research to API implementation to client tooling to UI. For T-Mobile, they embedded with the client's Big Data team, moving through security setup, data preparation, analysis, modeling, and final presentation. Engagement involves discovery and design phases when specifications are unclear. The studio combines in-house development with partner collaboration—they worked alongside castLabs engineers on UltraViolet and Libre Space Foundation on the satellite project. Communication patterns and pricing terms are not detailed in public materials.
Team and credentials
Teonite's team size is not stated. The studio is based in Poland and does not list additional offices. They have received a Casper Grant Award and work as partners with major blockchain infrastructure (Casper Labs), space agencies (European Space Agency via Libre Space Foundation), and enterprises (T-Mobile Poland, major film studios). No third-party ratings, certifications (ISO, SOC 2), or team credentials are mentioned in the source materials.
