Notable Clients
Rockero is a Czech software and product design shop based in Prague that walks founders and product teams through the full arc of digital product development: from market research and business case validation through prototyping, design, and software delivery. The firm focuses on data-driven methodology rather than guesswork, and its project work tends to be long-term—most listed client engagements run longer than two years and continue.
The shop works with consumer and B2B clients across retail, food and beverage, event ticketing, insurance, and facilities management. Its approach explicitly rejects the body-shop model. Rockero says it won't parachute developers in on staff-aug contracts; instead, it "rolls up its sleeves" and takes ownership of outcomes, working across business logic, user experience, and infrastructure. Team members named in testimonials include Dominik, Dan, and Filip.
Services and capabilities
Rockero organizes work into eight main service buckets. Market research and user research helps clients validate whether a problem actually exists and whether customers care. Business case validation—the firm's term for de-risking a product before development—involves working through hypotheses, running market or user studies, and building prototypes before writing production code. The firm explicitly positions this as an alternative to expensive trial-and-error development.
Data-driven UX/UI design sits at the center of the offering. Rockero designs interfaces informed by user research, measures behavior from day one, and optimizes for both acquisition and retention. The firm also offers prototyping and testing services, typically building multiple prototypes and comparing them against real user feedback.
On the execution side, Rockero builds e-commerce sites, websites, and mobile applications. It also develops custom software—mobile apps, web applications, ERP systems, and Windows desktop software—and offers ongoing consulting. In 2024–2025 the firm began offering AI model development, analyzing where large language models, chatbots, or predictive systems could fit into existing or new software solutions.
Notable work
Most client work is under NDA, but the firm names six substantial projects. For an unnamed quick-moving consumer goods retail chain, Rockero built an inventory system that allows more than 100 contractors to count hundreds of thousands of items across store floors in a single shift. For one of the Czech Republic's largest health insurers (VoZP), the firm has developed both public-facing and internal web applications over "several years." Client testimonial from David Pravdík (VoZP) cites "proactive and flexible approach" and "nonstop support."
Candycane Coffee, a roastery and e-commerce coffee business, brought Rockero in to build a new e-shop plus a warehouse management and order fulfillment system. Adam Gaszczyk notes the system now enables faster delivery and more efficient operations. Sareza, an Ostrava-based sports and recreation facility, commissioned a full website redesign; Lukáš Knettig's testimonial flags that the project was more complex than initially apparent (custom data handling, no templated processes), and praises Rockero for not backing down.
Zrcé Festival, one of Europe's largest summer festivals for young people, needed a custom ticketing system. Jan Lenčo emphasizes the system handles traffic spikes—"thousands of orders, bus dispatch, ticket release"—smoothly and that technical setup (server configuration included) is fully managed. Carglass (a global windshield repair and replacement operator) got a website with an integrated booking system that streamlined the repair reservation flow; Tomáš Čihák highlights the data-driven UX approach and ability to incorporate user feedback. One testimonial also references work on Footshop's mobile app, though details are withheld.
How they work
Rockero's engagement model centers on partnership and shared ownership. The firm states it does not offer body shopping or staff augmentation in the traditional sense. Instead, it embeds with clients at the business and technical level, often building teams that persist across multiple developers and years of work. Team continuity matters: one long-running client (Zrcé Festival) notes that despite multiple developers cycling through over time, handoff was clear and no work was lost.
The firm says it can jump into ongoing projects and is comfortable with technologies outside the mainstream. It also positions itself as able to deliver data and insights within days of engagement, having deep industry experience across retail, food, facilities, HR automation, and logistics.
Pricing is not published on the website. Engagements appear to be structured as fixed projects or long-term partnerships rather than hourly rates. The firm emphasizes scheduling a call or sending a message to discuss specifics.
Team and credentials
No founding year, total headcount, or founder names are disclosed on the site. Named team members in client work include Dominik (development), Dan (lead/oversight), and Filip (project lead on a long-running system). The firm positions itself as small, hands-on, and personally accountable. No certifications (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR) or third-party ratings (Clutch, G2) are mentioned. The firm does not list partnership status with major cloud or SaaS platforms. No languages spoken or English proficiency statement is provided, though the website is in Czech with one testimonial in Slovak.
