Pakistan's IT export numbers have been climbing fast. Mid-level engineers are being promoted into lead roles faster than their experience would normally justify. Senior talent exists, but it's concentrated in well-known firms and in the top university pipelines. If a site visit isn't feasible, run a structured virtual equivalent: video tours of offices and infrastructure, screenshots of monitoring dashboards and backup systems, and recorded conversations with senior and mid-level staff, not just the founder.

Pakistan is a legitimate second-tier global IT export hub with strong momentum, real cost advantages, and genuine depth in mobile, cloud, and applied ML. The $4.6B ICT export figure and the 2.3M-strong freelance community are not marketing numbers. They reflect actual volume and demand. It makes it a market that rewards buyers who do the work upfront, choosing the right city, the right niche, the right contract structure, and the right governance model.

Require named senior leads with time commitments. Check the infrastructure and continuity plans. Do those things, and Pakistan delivers real value. Skip them, and the export growth story won't save you.
